Neighbourhood Plan Referendum February 12th.
A referendum will be held on the East Dean and Friston Neighbourhood Development Plan on Thursday, February 12th 2026 (Times 7am until 10pm). The polling station is the Village Hall. Should the plan be approved in the vote, it will form part of the planning process. This is your opportunity to have your say.

This is a large document, and if you prefer to view a physical copy, these will be available at two drop-in sessions at the Village Hall on Tuesday, 27th January (evening 6.30-9pm) and Friday, 6th February (afternoon 2-4.30pm). You may purchase these at cost if required (£18), but we will have plenty of copies to view or borrow for a couple of days.
A synopsis of the plan is here: /council/eastdeanfriston/notices/Short%20NP%20doc_v4.pdf

The Steering group and the Parish Council as a whole are keen that we should ensure a good turnout so the vote is fully representative of community views.
Whilst the council is debarred from supporting either a Yes or No vote, campaign groups and non-councillor members of the steering group are not subject to such restrictions.
