Annual Village Meeting Report (15th May 2025)

The Annual Village Meeting hosted by the Parish Council was extremely well attended, attracting over 80 residents and filling 3 sides of the hall with displays from local clubs and organisations.

Council reports included a summary of the 24/25 year by Chair Cllr Paul Seeley, an update from Cllr Michael Bustard on the Neighbourhood Plan (now submitted to SDNP) and advance notice of the council awards scheme to celebrate the 25-year anniversary for the Village Hall by Cllr Naomi Baker.

In addition, presentations were given by John Dann (Local History Group), Lesley Durso (Residents association) David George (Church Warden), Jo Taylor (Village Hall) and Cheryl Veitch (Village Show). All Powerpoint presentations are present on the council website. Other presentations will be detailed in the minutes or in the written reports.

A lively Q&A session followed. These included traffic and parking, footpaths, council communication, hire of the Horsefield and road maintenance on the private estate.
