Grant Fowler

This is my second time living in this lovely village and when I left in 2007 I always missed being here so I returned in early 2017. I grew up in Polegate and my family came here often to enjoy the beauty and also because of our family links and history. My great-uncle was the landlord of the Tiger Inn and his dad, my great great-grandfather, ran the Inn before him. I currently work as a self-employed Carpenter and Joiner and work locally in the Village quite often. A recent project was extending and altering the Cricket club pavilion which was lovely to work there. I used to also teach my trade at the local college and was the Curriculum Leader running a busy department up to 2008, when I decided to go back to the tools and self-employment. I am lucky enough to have an Allotment along Went Way and enjoy transforming the beautiful space and seeing what happens, in 2020 I was thrilled with the vegetables and how the plants turned out. I have great gratitude for living here and would like to contribute in a positive way. Preserving this beautiful environment and listening to genuine concerns and issues wherever they arise is paramount to my involvement and helping in any way I can.
